Body butter or lotion — what's the difference?
Lotion is light and sinks in fast — a daytime, after-hand-washing kind of moisturizer. Body butter is the rich one: thicker in the jar, slower to sink in, built to stay put through the night. The trick is timing — a thin layer on still-damp skin right after the shower seals that water in, and in winter that's the difference between October skin and February skin.
